形態特徵

• Evergreen small tree; branchlets, petioles, the leaves lower surfaces and pedicels pubescent.
• Leaves oblong, elliptic or sometimes oblong-lanceolate, (10.2-)13.8–20.5(–27.0) cm, (4.0-)6.0–9.6(–11.2) cm broad, apex acute, base cuneate, sparsely pilose or subglabrous above; petioles (0.4-)0.7–2.2 cm long; stipules broadly orbiculate, reflexed, 5–11 mm long, 7–11 mm wide, glabrous or nearly so, persistent.
• Inflorescence in terminal densely panicle-cymes, subsessile. Flowers white, 4–6 mm long; calyx campanulate, pubescent to subglabrous, 4–5-lobed, lobes 1–1.5 mm long; corolla tubular, glabrous outside, 4–5-lobed, reflexed, throat hairy; stamens 4–5, on the mouth of corolla, anthers oblong; styles exserted.
• Capsules globose, pubescent, 1–1.5 mm in diam., dark brown. Seeds many, minute, winged.

分布

• 台灣 : found at low elevations forests throughout this island.
• 世界 : Indo-China to Southern China.
